Perenco UK has successfully initiated gas production from the C06 well located in the Ravenspurn South area of the southern North Sea in the UK. Drilled and completed by the Valaris-247 jackup rig last year in a water depth of 48 meters, the well achieved an initial flow rate of 12 MMcf/d to the Cleeton offshore hub, with subsequent connection to the Dimlington terminal on the Yorkshire coast.
Perenco plans to integrate the well into its production network, including new pipework on the RSC topsides. This development is anticipated to yield reserves ranging from 20 Bcf to 40 Bcf from a previously untouched block at the northeastern edge of the Ravenspurn South Field.
The recent startups of the D15 and D16 wells at the Ravenspurn North Field, drilled by the same rig, contribute to an overall 20% increase in Perenco’s operated production in the southern gas basin.
