Atlantic Oceanic Acquires MPSV as a Key Element in Its Continual Fleet Expansion Initiative

Atlantic Oceanic (UK), an offshore ship-owning group, has successfully acquired an advanced DP2 multi-purpose supply vessel (MPSV) as a vital component of its ongoing fleet expansion program.

Named the Atlantic Spirit, formerly known as Tek-Ocean Spirit, this specialist MPSV boasts an impressive length of 87 meters and comes equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system and a robust 65-tonne active heave compensation (AHC) high lift crane.

Atlantic Oceanic highlights that the Atlantic Spirit is well-equipped to handle various operations, including walk-to-work, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and survey operations, cargo/supply missions, and other versatile tasks. Specifically tailored for the offshore wind and oil & gas markets, the vessel adheres to the highest Norwegian standards.

Describing it as a strategic yet speculative addition to Atlantic Oceanic’s fleet, the company emphasizes its commitment to fleet expansion with high-quality vessels. CEO Paul Crowther remarked, “The Atlantic Spirit is a testament to our commitment to expanding our fleet with high-quality vessels. This addition not only enhances our capabilities but also strengthens our position in the global offshore industry.”

The Atlantic Spirit is now available for fixtures in the Pacific region of Australasia or for global charter inquiries, marking a significant milestone in Atlantic Oceanic’s continuous efforts to fortify its fleet and global presence.
