In Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea, bp initiated gas production from the East North flank of the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field on February 13. This milestone comes after the successful conclusion of all offshore construction and commissioning activities.
The project involves the establishment of five new wells, installation of two subsea production manifolds, laying two new flowlines spanning approximately 30 km in total, and connecting various subsea structures to the reservoir.
Shah Deniz, as a whole, boasts an impressive production capacity of 79 million cubic meters per day (MMcm/d) of gas.
